Why You Need A Specially-Designed Sleep Cap.

Why You Need A Specially-Designed Sleep Cap. A Specially-Designed Sleep Cap is essential when you lose your hair because of chemotherapy or alopecia.

Sleep caps, come on? Do I really need one of those? Trust me, I have been where we are. When I developed alopecia, wearing a hat to bed was not on my mind. But, of course, I had countless other questions and concerns, like trying to find a decent, natural-looking wig.

However, I quickly learned how much I relied on my hair for warmth. But, boy, does your head get cold when you don't have any hair, especially at night? So I was given a buttery soft bamboo chemo cap, which I thought would be perfect to sleep in, but it wasn't.

One of the most frustrating things that would happen to me was that my chemo cap wouldn't stay on my head while I was sleeping, so I would wake up in the middle of the night freezing, searching for the hat, and then I would have to try to fall back asleep. So as the months went on, I tried beanies, turbans, and specific sleep hats, and I needed something to work because they weren't designed for sleeping in.

As time passed, I realized that my head deserved the same softness and comfort at night as the rest of my body. I was frustrated because I couldn't find a hat that would stay on my head at night. So, I decided to design my own sleep hat. It's called The Dream Cap by Encelia, and it is a game-changer. The truth is that wearing a hat to bed is strange, so making one look stylish and comfortable was a huge challenge. Most chemo caps have a helmet-like/solid-heavy look - not inspiring. One of my favorite sleeping accessories—the sleep mask—inspired me. But, unlike most small sleep masks, I decided to enlarge the eye mask and make it the focal point. Then I enclosed the top, making it into a hat!

The Dream Cap by Encelia is a modern chemo cap with a built-in sleep mask that is cozy, chic, and stays put all night long. The strong elastic back perfectly hugs the back of the head, keeping the sleep hat firmly in place all night, and the built-in sleep mask is lightweight and light-blocking so that you can easily pull it down and sleep comfortably anywhere! Unlike most chemo caps, which have a helmet-like or solid, heavy look, with the Dream cap by Encelia, your eyes are drawn to the enlarged sleep mask - it has a modern, stylish feel!

The Dream Cap by Encelia comes in two collections: lightweight, cozy flannel and a cooling mesh. The lightweight, cozy flannel is perfect for chilly nights, and the cooling mesh is ideal for hot flashes or warm weather. Both collections are designed to provide comfort, warmth, and style, and the fabric is soft, breathable, and gentle on sensitive skin.

When designing the sleep cap, I couldn't stop thinking about how to make wearing a hat to bed more manageable and enjoyable for us. I am proud to share my concept of "Love Notes by Encelia." I include a fabric pen with every hat so that you or loved ones can write supportive, loving, or encouraging love notes to you inside the hat! My vision is that you would put all that love and positivity on every night and take a moment and say, I am loved, I am cherished, and then you would peacefully go to sleep. I adore my sleep cap and the love notes. My hope is that you will too!

The Dream Cap by Encelia is a thoughtful gift that provides warmth, comfort, and style to those who have lost their hair. The built-in sleep mask is a unique feature that helps patients get the rest they need, and the love notes inside the cap are a beautiful reminder that they are loved and supported. If you have a friend or loved one facing breast cancer, consider gifting them The Dream Cap by Encelia to show your love and support during this challenging time. I hope now you see why a specially designed chemo sleep cap is essential for anyone facing hair loss.

Comes from the heart,

Allison
