Revolutionary Sleep Cap Design That Will Make You Look Forward to Bedtime

Sleeping with a bald head can be a real challenge, especially when looking for something comfortable and stylish.

Let's face it, wearing a sleep hat is strange and probably not something you envisioned yourself wearing. But, when you lose all your hair due to chemotherapy, alopecia, or other reasons, you will quickly learn how cold your head gets when you don't have hair.

I know this because I have been where you are. Wearing a hat to bed made me want to hide under the covers. A bit about me, my life changed unexpectedly when I developed alopecia universalis (AU) during my second pregnancy. (detailed video here) That's right, I was eight months pregnant when I noticed a small bald spot at the top of my head, and within twenty days, I had lost eighty percent of the hair on my head. Then, four months postpartum, when most women go through postpartum depression due to hormonal imbalances, I lost all my eyebrows, eyelashes, and all body hair in a week. Drastic, but I was overweight, with a newborn, and bald. Go figure, right?

A friend gave me a super soft bamboo sleep cap, but it always came off my head at night. I lived in San Francisco then, and at night my house was freezing. So naturally, I did what any girl would do, and I purchased a cute designer beanie only to discover that it also wouldn't stay on my head at night. Frustrated, I bought a beanie with looped cords, hoping it would stay on. Guess what? Because this was an outdoor hat, the cords were bulky and hard, so it hurt when I laid on my side. I was so frustrated—literally, the only solution was to wear a chemo cap and put wig tape inside to keep my head warm all night.

One day, I said enough. It feels like no one cares enough to make a decent sleep cap for bald women like me, so I will design one. I created The Dream Cap by Encelia, a revolutionary sleep cap design that will make you look forward to bedtime. It is the first specially designed sleep cap for modern baldies like me who want a sleep hat that is comfortable, secure, and stylish. The enlarged sleep mask makes this sleep hat so stylish and unique. Instead of the heavy, helmet-like look of the chemo cap, your eyes focus on the enlarged sleep mask instead of the hat. The strong elastic back hugs the back of your head, keeping the sleep hat firmly in place all night, and the built-in sleep mask is lightweight and light-blocking so that you can sleep comfortably anywhere.

I wanted to make it wearing a sleep cap more enjoyable and that is how I came up with "Love Notes by Encelia." I include a fabric pen with every hat, so you or your loved ones can write supportive, loving, or encouraging notes inside the cap. My vision is that you would put all that love and positivity on every night, take a moment to say, "I am loved, I am cherished," and then peacefully go to sleep. It's a small addition to the sleep cap, but it makes a difference.

The Dream Cap by Encelia is a innovative sleep cap design perfect for anyone who wants a comfortable, stylish, and secure hat to wear at night. It's a small addition to your bedtime routine that will improve your sleep quality and overall well-being. So say goodbye to uncomfortable and bulky sleep caps and hello to The Dream Cap by Encelia – the perfect solution for modern baldies like me.
