Hand-Tied vs Closed-Wefted Design | How To Choose
Consider these things when choosing how the hair is attached to our cap
Hand-Tied | Overview video here
- Ultra-lightweight & extremely comfortable
- Looks like real hair growing from your scalp
- Total styling freedom | Because the knots move, you can redirect the knots anywhere you want so it is very easy to pull your hair into a top knot, pony, or braids.
- Ideal for anyone:
- Long-term hair loss
- Sensitive skin
- Worried back what the wig looks like in the back
- Lifespan 1 1/2 years to 2 years
Closed-Wefted Back | Overview video here
- Weighs more than the hand-tied version
- Along the entire perimeter, we have added a 1/2" inch of hand-tying so the wearer can still pull the hair back into a top knot, pony, or braids.
- The hair is attached with wefts, which are ribbons, therefore, as the wig ages, the ribbons maybe visible in the back.
- The wefted prevent the base from stretching so it will feel stiffer than the hand-tied version
- Ideal for anyone:
- Temporary hair loss
- Wig wearer who prefer wefted wigs
- Budget conscious
- Lifespan 1 1/2 years to 2 years
