Hey, I’m Allison—founder of Encelia Hair and a former permanent makeup artist. After losing my brows to Alopecia Universalis, even with all my training, I had a tough time finding brow solutions that looked natural. Most temporary tattoos didn’t fit right, and the designs were super limited.

So I decided to make my own. I used the same techniques I used on clients—like the golden ratio—to create brows that actually look like real hair. They’re easy to apply and look super realistic.

Encelia’s temporary eyebrow tattoos are made for anyone with little to no brow hair who still wants perfectly shaped brows. We start with the golden ratio, then take it further using pro techniques from permanent makeup artists—like slightly off-center arches and precise line angles—for a natural, balanced look that really works.

Temporary Eyebrow FAQs

Our temporary eyebrow tattoos come in three sizes. The best way to figure out your size is to measure your brow. Watch this tutorial to learn three easy ways to map your brow.

  • Small | 2" inches - ideal for petite or smaller faces
  • Medium | 2.2" inches - ideal for average faces
  • Large | 2.4" inches - ideal for wider or larger faces.

While there are dozens of brow designs, the vast majority of brows come down to three simple shapes. At Encelia, we have three well executed eyebrow designs:

  • High arch - ideal for wide, round, square, heart or short faces. A high arch enhances the dimension and structure of the face. In general, a high arch gives a more energetic, modern, and mature appearance.

  • Medium arch - ideal for oval, square or pear faces. Our medium arch is soft, delicate and gentle due to it's horizontal angle. This shape looks delicate or natural on almost anyone.

  • Flat (straight) arch - ideal for oval or long faces. A flat arch is a more neutral brow and it gives a calmer, more gentle, youthful appearance. Note: if your brows sit lower, meaning you have less eyelid room both in the inner and outer corners of your eye than a straight brow can give a more masculine appearance.

We currently have five colors.

  • Blonde - lightest color. Ideal for light blondes or light grey/silver hair.
  • Taupe - Ideal for dark blondes, light brown hair
  • Medium Brown - Ideal for a wide range of brunette hair
  • Dark Brown - Ideal for darker brunette hair
  • Red - Ideal for red hair

In general, your eyebrow tattoo should last up to 3 days. Keep in mind, the adhesive is waterproof but various cleansers and rubbing can loosen the adhesive. When applying, make sure the skin is clean and dry.

Temporary eyebrow tattoos are ideal for anyone with thin or little to no eyebrow hair.

If you have eyebrow hair, simply, apply brow gel to smooth down your natural brows. After the gel drys, apply your temporary eyebrow tattoos. Your temporary eyebrows will look seamless and beautiful without damaging your natural eyebrow hair.

If you have eyebrows, apply an oil-based makeup remover or some coconut oil. Gentle massage the product into the brow to loosen the adhesive, then use a soft, gentle wash cloth (preferably bamboo) to remove.

If you don't have eyebrow hair, then the easiest way to remove your temporary eyebrow tattoo is to use tape. Place the tape over the brow, press down and remove.
